Best Backpack for School Hot Wheels Backpack

Hot Wheels Backpack

My daughter chose this JanSport backpack for its color, but it turned out to be a very good quality. The straps unbuckle and tuck completely out of sight. The wheels glide smoothly. The handles pull out and retract with ease.

The double rails on the handle (makes an upside down "U" shape rather than a "T" shape), gives the backpack more stability when rolling over curbs.

We took the backpack with us on vacation, on which it was perfect for. The size is noticeably larger than other backpacks. When my daughter lined her backpack with the other children's backpacks at school along a wall, hers was the largest one. She commented the first day she took it to school that everyone noticed how large it was -- big plus in her book, because she stuffs it with everything, including her jacket.

The shape is more rectangular than some other backpacks, and it holds its shape when empty. It doesn't tip over when full, an important feature to look for in any wheeled backpack.

Definitely a good buy for us. If it came in a color my son wanted, I'd have bought one for him, as well.

We are flying from Pittsburgh to Honolulu in April. This will be the first time my children will be flying. They are ages 10 and 6. What do I need to bring for them to the airport for security purposes?( i.e some type of identification, health records?) I want to be prepared. Any other advice for their first flight would be appreciated. Thank you.

I recently found out that the cause of this excruciating pain is a herniated disk. I'm in grad school and used to use a messenger bag but I think a backpack would distribute the weight better and cause less strain on my back. I also want to find a back that has good ventilation - many backpacks make my back sweat! Any suggestions?

I have to carry around books all day at school. My dad is in a wheel chair and getting him in and out of the car doesn't help the pain. I cant stop doing these things just because i hurt, there are things that need to be done. What can i do?

My son goes to daycare every friday. I forgot last week they had water play, and his towel and suit was in his backpack. I didnt open it or anything all week because he didnt need it. When i went to open it now to get it ready for tommorow, i discovered the towel and suit, and now his bag has a wet mildewy smell. I dont have any bleach, and its the only bag i have, so i have to send it with him tommorow...what can i use to take the smell out? I also dont have baking soda...i have some kitchen cleaner thats antibacterial i sprayed in there, but it didnt help any. I also washed it with hot soapy water, again no help. It is a bag with a plastic handle and wheels so i cant throw it in the washer...any ideas to what could work?

  7. Looking for an alternative to the Orion Smoke Flares. I want to make my own smoke flare or smoke signal that I can use in emergencies when I go into the wilderness. I don't care what color the smoke is but would prefer a non-natural color like orange, green, or purple so if people see it they don't think it is a campfire. I know I can make smoke bombs out of salt peter and sugar but will this mixture create the amount of smoke that I am looking for? The main thing I am looking for is a good volume of smoke.
