Best School Backpack: Dabbawalla Lunch Bag Cute Bug

Dabbawalla Lunch Bag Cute Bug

I purchased this lunch bag to use for my kids when we go out for the day. I have always had issues with the sippy cups leaking in the lunch bags which has caused me to have to throw them out after awhile since I couldn't get them clean enough. The biggest issue was with the milk leaks because no matter how much I tried to clean them, I could never get that yucky milk smell out of the bags (they weren't machine washable). So, since replacing lunch bags is a waste to me, I set out to find a washable lunch bag-voila! Not only is this amazing bag washable, but it is pretty environmentally friendly as well. It is also cute and roomy. For example, the other day I fit in it a rectangle lunch bot, two straw sippy cups, a package of yogurt melts, a little glass container with fruit, some crackers, a small ice pack and some random baby snacks. I couldn't fit all that in our older lunch bags because they had hard sides that were not flexible and they weren't as big. We love this bag for many reasons, but mostly because when the milk spills in it-which it definitely will-I can wash it and it will be as good as new.

  2. I love how its easy to clean. Just throw it in the wash and it dries really fast too. The colors and design are also very nice. Its also very roomy. I can fit a 16oz water bottle and 16oz thermos food jar and still have room for a yogurt drink or container of milk. Theres also an inner mesh pocket and outer side pocket for napkins and such.

This lunch bag is durable and holds more than I thought. It is also an attractive design and has drawn lots of comment.

The perfect bag for my preschooler - ample room for a small water bottle and multiples small containers of food. Two interior mesh pockets and two exterior pockets. So far seems to keep food cold enough. Love that the handle is soft and a bit stretchy. My son could not wait to use it!

This lunch bag is terrific. Our daughter picked out one of these bags last summer for taking her lunch to kindergarten. She loves it because no one else has one like it and it is easy for her to carry and use. She packs almost every day and her bag gets pretty dirty from the regular use, but we throw it in a delicates bag in the washing machine and it comes out looking new. This bag is also very spacious - it has plenty of room for a full size sandwich container, plus three other smaller containers, a drink, and an ice pack. There are two mesh pockets inside for holding things in place and a pocket on the outside. I love that is free from harmful substances and that it is made by a company with integrity. These bags are so great we're going to buy another one for our son.

Dabbawalla bags are eco friendly and fashionable. A Dabawalla is a person in India who delivers lunch boxes to office workers and was inspirational to one of Dabawalla's creators (I love an interesting backstory). The bags are crafted from neoprene like eco-sponge which is Oeko-Tex certified. It's machine washable and insulates your food along with being non toxic.

Some of the designs are great for adults as well as kids. My son and I will be fighting over this British Invasion lunch bag which is big enough to hold anything you could want for lunch. The bag stretches, so if you want to pack a lot, there is give. Very well made and cool looking.
